The advancement in computer technology has given artists the freedom and ability to create paintings with a computer mouse or graphic tablet. Unlike regular paints and palettes which can be quite messy, digital art can be created in a neat and tidy manner since the whole painting process takes place inside the computer. Since digital art exists inside the computer, the original painting exists only in virtual space. It can be printed on a high quality printer to create an art print. In fact, digital art can only be created as art prints, since the original exists as bits and bytes stored on the computer’s hard drive. Death of Aesthetics

Death of Aesthetics Have you ever wondered what is it that makes a painting great? Why are some artworks so admired by art lovers and art critics? What qualities possess certain paintings that make us feel so passionate about them? Well, a very loose definition of a good artwork would be that it has to possess a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’, something inexplicable that captivates us, moves us, or pleases us. It has to be something quite hard to explain., hard to define and hard to describe. As an artist, I wanted to investigate this matter further and analyze this mysterious trait of what makes a painting great. It was vital for me to understand this, as I wanted to be able to create great paintings. After studying art for several years I carried on conducting my own research into this, through my work, and eventually reached the following conclusions: – A great painting has to have powerful visual content and very often also an emotional one. Esoteric Pictures

Esoteric Pictures Esoteric and abstract pictures adhere to the same principles as esoteric and abstract art. Many viewers may stumble upon a particular photograph of a brick wall or perhaps some surface textures and wonder what the purpose or meaning behind the photograph is. Esoteric pictures do not necessarily idolize a subject for its beauty or historical/political/social significance, but they do ascribe a certain aesthetic value to everyday objects. Many times, photographers who like to take abstract or esoteric pictures will capture a particularly mundane view from a different angle or a unique perspective, casting these “mundane objects” in a new light, allowing them to be treated with a different kind of appreciation. Esoteric pictures are not the same thing as abstract pictures or photographs. For abstract artists, elements and rules of balance, color, and composition do not exist. Any blending of colors, shapes or forms into an image qualifies the work as abstract. Jackso

The Origin and Evolution of Abstract Painting

Image
The Origin and Evolution of Abstract Painting Abstract painting is a very unique form of art; its depictions of imagery are a departure from reality but can still provide accurate visual representations of specific objects and scenes. This art form didn’t really emerge until the twentieth century, but has grown into an iconic form of art that has been transcended by some of the very best artists, such as Jackson Pollock and Piet Mondrian. A lot of abstract art involves the use of concepts in which texture, shape, and color are utilized in such a way that demonstrates the intrinsic value that each has. This results in provoking a response from the viewer’s mind to the portrayals of imaginary as well as the unidentifiable scenes and objects. The beginning of abstract painting can be attributed to the growing popularity of impressionism followed by post-impression in the nineteenth century. This type of art emphasized the utilization of style and color, as opposed to providing accura

It is challenging already to take a personal talent and make it work for you in a financial way. A lot of artists are talented in their field but lack the know how to get the ball rolling.
